The ECO-CAT+ label
ECO-CAT+: The benchmark for cross-border Catalan sustainable excellence

Action 1
Catalan excellence, eco-responsible know-how
Let's support Catalan artisans in their ecological transition. A registered trademark will promote their responsible approach and know-how. This strong identity will enable them to stand out clearly from the competition and communicate their commitments.
ECO-CAT +: The Catalan eco-label for committed artisans

Supported by the CMA Occitanie and the Girona Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the ECO-CAT+ brand embodies a new vision for artisanal businesses on both sides of the Pyrenees: to combine economic performance, environmental responsibility, and a strong local presence.
Why ECO-CAT+?
In a world undergoing change, Catalan artisans are taking action to build a more sustainable, local, and innovative economy. The ECO-CAT+ label was created to recognize businesses that are making a concrete commitment to the environment and their local communities.
The benefits of the Catalan eco-label
Companies with the ECO-CAT+ certification can:
- Official recognition of their environmental commitment
- Access cutting-edge technical training to innovate and adopt sustainable practices
- Join a dynamic cross-border network of committed craftspeople
ECO-CAT+ is much more than just a label. It is:
- A gas pedal of ecological transition
- A showcase for artisan talent
- A bridge between tradition and innovation
A structuring cross-border project
ECO-CAT + is part of the European INTERREG POCTEFA program, through the EsCaT initiative —the Catalan Cross-Border Area. This project promotes unprecedented cooperation between Northern and Southern Catalonia, with the aim of fostering a greener and more connected craft economy.
Who can apply?
The Catalan Ecolabel is aimed at craft businesses located in North Catalonia (France) and South Catalonia (Spain), ready to commit to a process of environmental and territorial progress.
